- 2 Storey Home: Setting up a business grade wireless system on each level and a NAS Backup system for 2 iMacs and 2 PC laptops
- A client in Brighton was in a bike accident, and their laptop was damaged. We were hired to write an insurance report so the client could get a new laptop (via their insurance company)
- A Client in Elwood called saying his computer screen was all “green”. Turned out the graphics card had damaged ‘pins’ in the back, so it could not display colours correctly. Replaced the card, all colours went back to normal.
- A client in Hampton, had a computer which would not turn on anymore. Diagnosed a faulty powersupply. Installed a more reliable unit and upgraded the hard drives for speed imrpovements.
- A small business in Sandringham was having problems printing through their network. We changed settings in their modem and re-setup the printer.
- An Accountant's computer suddenly died. Diagnosed a faulty hard drive. Purchase a new SSD hard drive (5 times faster), and re-installed windows and all applications & email accounts.
- An Elsternwick client was experiencing a slow computer and strange pop up advertisements. After performing a deep level clean up we discoverd 7 viruses and 35 malware programs. After our clean, the speed of the computer increased dramatically.
- An Elwood client's computer picked up a virus from an infected email attachment. We remove the virus 100%, cleaned up the computer and recovered all his files.
- Client complained of extremely slow and crashing iMac – diagnosed a faulty hard drive, replaced & installed new hard drive. And reinstalled all software and apps. Client saved $1,500 as she did not have to buy a new iMac
- Client in Parkdale had a faulty laptop and faulty hard drive, so we helped her purchase a new Lenovo laptop. Removed old hard drive and recovered and transferred all her personal information.
- Clients computer would constantly crash and give blue screen errors. Computer was overheating due to years of built up dust. Cleaned out the computer. Computer temperature went back to normal range and crashing stopped.
- Helping a client in Hawthorn get Telstra Cable Internet (Telstra told her she could not get it, even though her apartment was pre-wired for it)
- Kwik Kopy in St Kilda could not print to their large-format Fuji-Xerox Printer. We investigated and found a faulty print server. We worked with Fuji-Xerox to organize a replacement and helped to re-setup 4 PCs in the office so they could print again.
- New Optus Cable Internet & Modem Installation – Setup a full home wi-fi network and setup 3x PCs, 2 iPads, and a Smart TV
- Purchased a 1TB external portable hard drive for a client who wanted automated backups setup on his PC laptop.
- Setting up 2x Ubiquiti Wireless units in a triple-brick home in Sandringham. Increased the wireless signal by 75%, and full wireless in the backyard as well.
- Setup a USB wireless card for a home business professional whose iMac had faulty wireless, and needed working internet straight away.
- Teaching a client how to use his new BOSE noise cancelling headphones with his Surface Pro 4 tablet and new TV.
- We fixed a very frustrating Windows 10 issue that occurred after a Windows security update for a client in Sandringham.
- We fixed a Windows 7 PC error message that was preventing a client in Caulfield from accessing her internet and emails.
- We helped a painter in Brighton East fix a ransom-based virus. We were able to recover all his business files and 15 years of family photos.
- We installed a Fuji Xerox wireless printer for a client so she could print from her two Mac Book Pro laptops and also setup (and tested) the built-in FAX machine.
- We purchased a BOSE sound bar for an 86 year old client who found her TV speakers lacked clarity. She also used hearing aids, so this system made it easier for her to hear clearly.
- We purchased and setup a 50inch Sony TV for an older client in Toorak. She was struggling to see with her old 40 inch LG TV. We also setup her Foxtel Box and taught her how to use her new TV
- We setup a business-grade Kyocera Multifunction printer, NAS backup system, Surface Pro 4 Tablet and Skype Speakerphone system.
- We setup a new HP desktop computer and dual monitors for a Psychologist in St Kilda. We also had a nice visitor, who was curious about our work.
- We setup a new Optus Cable Modem with a 24-port Ethernet switch which runs to every room in the house. It connects with 3 PCs, a NAS backup system and home theatre in the lounge room.
- We setup a new Synology 2-Bay NAS backup system for a business owner in Brighton East.
- We setup a UPS power backup system, which gives 15 minutes of battery power in case of an electrical outage. It also runs surge protection.
- We setup automated backups from 4 PCs to a (4-Bay) NAS backup system in a small factory in Bentleigh East.
- We setup Satellite Foxtel with an IQ2 box and connected it to the internet so the client could use the Foxtel “Online Catch Up” Service
- We worked with a Jewelry store in South Melbourne who could no longer access their MYOB accounting software on their two iMacs.
- Working with Kwik Kopy in St Kilda installing their new VoIP phone system and providing on-going support
